Welcome to the 100th blog on Moon Stamp Sports. We have been at this since August 2023, and have now published 100 blogs. Instead of writing about sports, we wanted to take a second to reflect and see how far the blog has come. If you’re new here, take some time reading the writings of Brian and Jorden.

Moon Stamp turns 100 blogs old today! I can’t believe we’re at this mark already. While we’re still a ways away from what we’re aiming for, a milestone is a milestone. I have a couple ideas to get the wheels really turning for Moon Stamp which I’ll explore with Jorden in the next couple months, but until then, I hope to pump out some more content the ways I know how: blogging and streaming (twitch.tv/AuricPolaris). Moon Stamp, or rather just blogging in general, was something I had thought about doing for a long long time, but it wasn’t going to be anything but talk until Jorden starting putting foot to ass and got us up and running.
To our readers/followers: Thank you for your eyes, time, and feedback. Very little makes me feel better than someone texting after I post a blog saying “this part got me good” or “loved the quick toilet read”. It legitimately makes me chest fill with pride! Thank you
To my partner in blogging: Thank you for doing all the heavy lifting. Like I said, without you actually putting things in motion this would have been something I just talked about and never did. Also, Jorden, your ability to pump out blogs and content is second to none and I’m glad you’re the one leading the stampede.
To myself: I’m proud of you. You, with a lot of encouragement, are finally chasing your dreams. I’ve always wanted to create content and between streaming and blogging I’m falling back in love with that dream. I just need to hit it a little harder to start helping to grow Moon Stamp and my twitch. Glad you’ve taken the first steps, long ways to go, amigo.
I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay here so far, but we have much much MUCH more to come. See you next stream/blog!

Technically this isn’t the 100th blog. Locked somewhere deep in the drafts section of WordPress is a blog aptly entitled “The First Blog.” I’m pretty sure only Brian read that, but it was the beginning of all of Moon Stamp Sports. For years, we had discussed starting a blog. While we wanted to follow in the footsteps of guys like Dave Portney and Bill Simmons, we both genuinely just loved writing and blogging. So, in an attempt to share our writings with the world, the idea of a blog was born.
The hardest part of starting the blog was finding out what to name it. Though we’re both Houston sports fans, realistically we were going to write about more than just Houston. And the search for a name created such beauties as “Supertramp Sports”, “Tribal Space Sports”, and “Paladin Sports”. All of these are terrible names. Thank God I saw a watch ad, which sparked the creative juices to finally come up with Moon Stamp Sports. And hey, we’re climbing the charts to the point where you only have to hit “More Results” three times when searching Moon Stamp on Google. We do have searches for “Moon Stamp Sports” pretty locked down.
There’s a lot I could say at this point. I think I have something like 92 blogs published on this site now (this blog included). That’s a dumb amount of content and a lot of things written down that could probably come back to haunt me. Last week I even published a blog about the eclipse making me understand human sacrifice. My saving grace is that if you use my government name, that guy from The Voice is still the first search result.
Some thank yous are due. To Brian, thank you for being a part of this weirdass site. Thank you for always being a huge supporter and marketing the things I write, even when I tell you that you don’t have to. And, genuinely, thank you for putting up with all the odd texts I send you at all hours of the day and night. We mesh incredibly well (look at our About page), and it’s incredible seeing how we’ve grown since high school. Who would have imagined we’d be famous to tens of people on the internet? (I do not think we’re famous).
To everyone who reads, a very genuine thank you to you. I’m somewhat insane when it comes to keeping up with Moon Stamp’s analytics, and every day I see readers is a good day. Your comments are one of those things that make me really happy to be engaging in this project. I tell Brian all the time we do this for fun, but, realistically, the comments and views keep me going. Also, thank you to my mom for being our biggest Instagram supporter.
Hopefully, in 100 more blogs we’ll have even more readers. Maybe we’ll even be podcasting at that point; neither Brian nor I want to be just another guy with a sports blog. There are probably millions of those at this point. We want to be the Moon Stamp Sports blog and podcast and whatever else comes.
So, here is to 100 more. And 100 more after that.
